| Who are Chorum
We are a ladies a capella singing group which was formed in 2009. This means that we sing as a group, without anyone playing an instrument.
The only instruments that we use are our voices.
Because this is strictly a capella, we the singing group become an orchestra and our maestro is none other than ourselves. We are our own conductors so we need to be able to listen carefully so we know when our cue is.
Now this may all seem a little 'high brow', but our real motivation is to meet, make friends, make music and have an awful lot of fun. We will rehearse to put on some live performances and to perhaps compete at some events and conventions during 2010.
Our Musical Director is Dawn Murray, who as well as being a talented musician, is also a well known vocalist in Leicestershire. Dawn has the ability to make each session a huge amount of fun, whilst also being able to instil confidence in even the most reserved performer.
No previous experience is necessary and you don't need to be able to read music!!
You can join at any time throughout the term so why not come and give us a try? Visit our website.
